EFCT’s Mud Volleyball History
As the new executive director of The Epilepsy Foundation of CT and over the past months, I have been looking over numerous folders of many wonderful stories. I want to share some with you.
The tournament started back in 1987! By 2014, the statewide tournament grew from 32 teams and 8 courts to 214 teams playing in 24 courts. And these numbers continued growing over the years. The number of volunteers, staff time and passion required to make this happen is unbelievable. (The Middletown Press; August 11, 2014)
Teams traveled from all corners of the state and beyond to play in knee-deep mud! All of this was initiated by EFCT’s founding executive director, Linda Wallace. The amount of time, energy and passion required by her and her team to make this happen is astounding!
We would like to formally thank all the teams who have participated in Mud Volleyball over the years. You are an important part of our history and our success. It is with much gratitude and with heavy hearts that we close this chapter.
Here are a few pictures from this event. Do you have pictures or stories you would like to share? Please send to firstname.lastname@example.org.
