Epilepsy C.A.R.E. Day
January 28 @ 8:30 am - 12:30 pm

C.A.R.E. stands for Conference for Advocacy, Resources, & Education.
At this free event, patients, caregivers, and medical professionals hear from medical professionals about the latest developments in epilepsy treatments and other epilepsy topics. All trainings are provided by members of EFCT’s Professional Advisory Board (PAB). Our PAB ensures and enhances the credibility and professional reputation of the Epilepsy Foundation of Connecticut, by assisting in the design and implantation of education, outreach or media programs and activities. We also work with patients, caregivers, educators, and community representatives that have experience with living with epilepsy.
Our first Epilepsy C.A.R.E. Day was held on Saturday, January 28, 2023. Over 100 event attendees heard from 8 incredible speakers about a variety of epilepsy topics! Thank you to everyone who attended this event, our photographer Bill Shea, all our sponsors, and our volunteers! We could not put on events like these without you!
Thank you so much to all our presenters: Dr. Kumar, Dr. Greenfield, Dr. Madan Cohen, Novelette Spence, Dr. Montes-Rivera, Dr. Sheth, and Jennifer Jenkins. We also need to give a big thank you to Dr. Lawrence Hirsch for moderating the event in addition to presenting! The presentation slides from C.A.R.E. Day can be viewed below.
If you are interested in listening to a specific presentation recording, please reach out to Elizabeth at elizabeth@epilepsyct.com. Information about 2024’s Epilepsy C.A.R.E. Day will be coming soon!
